(HARRISBURG) – The Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) has awarded a grant to Mifflin Township, Columbia County, according to Senator John R. Gordner (R-27) and Representative David Millard (R-109). The funds will be provided through the Greenways, Trails and Recreation Program, with the strong support of both members.
Mifflin Township has been awarded $81,579 through the Greenways, Trails and Recreation Fund for renovations to the Mifflinville Community Park. The project includes electrical upgrades, building repairs, and the installations of a walking path, dog park and a new stage. The total cost of the project is anticipated to be $95,976.
“These funds will help to create a safe and fun place for local residents to enjoy,” said Senator Gordner. “I am pleased that the CFA has chosen to provide this grant to Mifflin Township.”
The Commonwealth Financing Agency was established in 2004 as an independent agency of the Department of Community and Economic Development to administer Pennsylvania’s economic stimulus programs.
