(HARRISBURG) – The Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) has awarded a grant to Zerbe Township, Northumberland County, according to Senator John R. Gordner (R-27) and Representative Kurt Masser (R-107).
Zerbe Township has been awarded $85,422 through the Multimodal Transportation Fund to repair the 11th Street bridge across Zerbe Run Creek. The bridge has been closed due to age and deterioration, causing local residents to take alternate routes. Total cost for the project is $122,032.
“I am pleased that the CFA recognized our advocacy for this important project,” said Senator Gordner.
“This project will allow local residents to have a safer and more convenient way to cross Zerbe Run Creek,” said Representative Masser.
The Commonwealth Financing Agency was established in 2004 as an independent agency of the Department of Community and Economic Development to administer Pennsylvania’s economic stimulus programs.
