Gordner, Masser Announce Grant in Anthony Township

(HARRISBURG) – The Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) has awarded a grant to Anthony Township, Montour County, according to Senator John R. Gordner (R-27) and Representative Kurt A. Masser (R-107).  Through the strong support of both members, funds were made available through the Multimodal Transportation Fund program.

Anthony Township has been granted $700,000 to assist in the reconstruction of Larson Road.  Due to the current condition of the road, a Full-Depth-Reclamation on 7,392 feet will need to occur.  Total cost for the project is $714,900.

“This grant will help to create a safer roadway for travel for all motorists using Larson Road,” said Representative Masser.

“I was proud to partner with Representative Masser in advocating strongly for these funds on behalf of the people of Anthony Township,” said Senator Gordner.  “I am pleased that the CFA recognized the importance of providing this award to benefit those residents.”

The Commonwealth Financing Agency was established in 2004 as an independent agency of the Department of Community and Economic Development to administer Pennsylvania’s economic stimulus programs.
