Senate Unanimously Confirms Zerbe as Snyder County Register/Recorder

(HARRISBURG) - - The Senate of Pennsylvania today unanimously confirmed Stacey L. Zerbe of Middleburg as Snyder County Register of Wills and Recorder of Deeds, according to Senator John R. Gordner (R-27).

Ms. Zerbe has been serving as Acting Register and Recorder since the retirement of Harvey Kreamer, Jr. from the office in 2008. She was the Chief Deputy in the office since 1987, and her county service dates to 1984.

"Following Mr. Kreamer's retirement, the Snyder County Republican Party unanimously recommended Ms. Zerbe for appointment, and I was pleased to forward that recommendation to Governor Ed Rendell for nomination and the Senate for confirmation," said Senator Gordner.

Ms. Zerbe won both the Republican and Democratic Party nominations for the office in the May Primary Election.

"Although Ms. Zerbe would have taken office next January, I felt it was important to move this nomination process to completion, given the strong bipartisan support she has received in Snyder County," said Senator Gordner.
