August 4, 2010 - Sen. Gordner meets with Medical Director Dr. John Pagana and Physician Assistant David Albright at A Community Clinic in Sunbury. A Community Clinic is supported through a Senate supported budget line for free clinics in Pennsylvania.

June 30, 2011 - Sen. Gordner joins Governor Corbett and Rep. Mark Mustio (R-Allegheny) for a bill signing ceremony to enact a major update to the state's workers' compensation law.

June 23, 2011 - Sen. Gordner participates in the bill signing for Senate Bill 1006 which criminalizes the possession, sale and use of synthetic drugs commonly known as 'bath salts'.

June 30, 2011 - Sen. Gordner joins Governor Corbett and Rep. Mark Mustio (R-Allegheny) for a bill signing ceremony to enact a major update to the state's workers' compensation law.

November 22, 2010 - Senator Gordner participated in a press conference in the rotunda of the State Capitol to urge Governor Rendell to sign House Bill 1231 which will provide workers' compensation coverage for volunteer and professional firefighters who contract cancer as a result of direct exposure to known cancer causing carcinogens in the course of their firefighting duties. Also pictured to Sen. Gordner's left is Senate Majority Leader, Senator Dominic Pileggi.

November 3, 2010 – Senator Gordner along with Allen Biehler, Secretary of PennDOT, participated in a groundbreaking to highlight the construction of new infrastructure for railcar to truck commodity distribution at Boyd Station in Rush Township, Northumberland County.  The project was made possible by a Rail/Freight Transportation grant that was strongly supported by Sen. Gordner.  Also pictured are Boyd Station partners Russ Cotner, Bryan Cotner and Shannon Cotner.

October 23, 2010 - Senator Gordner participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new science building at Susquehanna University.  Also pictured is Representative Russ Fairchild (R-85).

October 8, 2010 - Senator Gordner receives the inaugural Charles H. Coder Leadership in Entrepreneurial Innovation Award in recognition of his leadership to sustain funding for the SBDC program.

September 2, 2010 - Senator Gordner toured the tomato harvesting operations at Furmano's outside of Northumberland. Furmano's is a family owned company that has operated in Northumberland County since 1921.

August 18, 2010 - Senator Gordner presents Dharla Maiden with a citation from the Senate honoring her for her service as Executive Director of the Millersburg Area Senior Center for the past seven years. During Ms. Maiden's tenure as Executive Director, she initiated many new programs that have increased attendance and activities at the Center making it one of the most active senior centers in Dauphin County.

August 12, 2010 - Sen. Gordner participated in the 4-H VIP Dairy Showmanship Contest at the Montour-DeLong Community Fair in Washingtonville.  He showed Rosebud, a red and white Holstein, and  placed third out of ten participants.

August 4, 2010 - Sen. Gordner questions officials from the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA), the mass transit provider for the Philadelphia region, concerning the disproportionate amount of state funding for mass transit when compared with other sources of governmental support.

June 17, 2010 - Sen. Gordner discusses the Milton Library Relocation Project with Rep. Phillips and John Meckley at the new location for the library at Rose Hill in Milton.  The project received a $500,000 grant from the Department of Community and Economic Development later that morning.

June 2, 2010 - Sen. Gordner presents Rep. Phillips and Rep. Fairchild with citations honoring both for being the recipients of the Susquehanna Council Boy Scouts of America 2010 Distinguished Citizen Award at Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove.

April 29, 2010 - Sen. Gordner meets with Jeremy Horning a senior at Bucknell University who partnered with Hoeganaes Corp. in Watsontown through the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Bucknell to research and develop a solution to a packaging problem Hoeganaes encountered with its powdered metal products.

August 14, 2009 - Senator Gordner witnessed the signing of an agreement between the Shamokin branch of Luzerne County Community College (LCCC) and Misericordia University to jointly offer accelerated bachelor's degrees in business administration, professional studies and registered nursing. The program will allow students to obtain a bachelor's degree in 2 1/2 years.

June 23, 2009 - Senator Gordner meets in the Senate chamber with Miles Wolfe, Ben Showers, Jon Root and Jacob Snyder, participants in the American Legion's Keystone Boys State program. Miles, Jon and Jacob represented Shikellamy High School while Ben represented Selinsgrove Area High School.

April 11, 2009 - Senator Gordner meets with students from the Columbia- Montour Vocational Technical School. Samantha Dagostine, Emily Hartman, Jessica Whitenight and Kelly Strada won first place in a statewide travel/lodging management competition held at the Nittany Lion Inn in State College. The students were accompanied by their teacher and advisor Donna Harris.

April 9, 2009 - Senator Gordner questions local government officials at a meeting of the Senate Republican Policy Committee held at the Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport regarding the potential impact of natural gas drilling in the Marcellus Shale region. The panel included Sen. Gene Yaw (R – Lycoming County), Rep. Garth Everett (R – Lycoming County) and Rep. Rick Mirabito (D – Lycoming County).
