(HARRISBURG) – The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources has awarded a grant to Middlecreek Township, Snyder County, according to Senator John R. Gordner (R-27).  The funding has been approved by the State Department of Conservation and Natural resources through the Community Conservation Partnerships Program.

The $40,000 grant will be used for rehabilitation and further development of Middlecreek Nature Park.  This works includes: construction of a pavilion, the addition of a pedestrian walkway, access drive and parking area, ADA access, landscaping and other related site improvements.

The Community Conservation Partnerships program is funded through a variety of state and federal sources including the Keystone Park and Recreation Fund, the state Recreational Trails Fund, the Environmental Stewardship Fund and the federal Land and Water Conservation Fund.
